1.  When I was eleven my Dad said us that we were going on a camping holiday during the

2.  summer. I was so thrilled! I’d read lots books about fearless explorers and I thought I knew

3.  a lot about camping, staying in a tent and cooking over a camp fire. I was spent hours

4.  looking at photos of mushrooms and forest fruit in an encyclopaedia to make them sure

5.  I would recognise the ones who you could eat and the ones that were poisonous. I made

6.  a primitive fishing rod, persuaded my father to buy me a compass and almost could drove

7.  my geography teacher crazy asking her how to read the various symbols on each maps.

8.  When the ‘Big Day’ has came, we arrived at the campsite my parents had chosen in the

9.  early afternoon. I saw rows of tents, a few big building that housed bathrooms and toilets for

10. the campers, and another building with a restaurant. I was such extremely disappointed.
